According to the American Dental Association, over 200,000 injuries  are prevented every year by the use of athletic mouthguards.

The unique manufacturing technique of our mouthguard is the same as the tooth positioner in that they are fabricated from a solid piece of pliable material where the upper and lower teeth are molded into a one piece appliance.

PAR believes that this techniques is appropriate as the teeth are fully encapsulated by the soft material, and the articulation method also protects the mandible and helps prevent TMJ problems which could occur from a blow to the jaw during any sports play.

For these reasons, this type of mouthguard is far superior to the stock, or boil-and-bite type  mouthguards available in sporting good stores. Boil-and-bite  mouthguards don't fit as accurately  as custom fabricated types and do not provide adequate coverage; they are often uncomfortable and can become dislodged.

PAR Mouthguards provide FULL PROTECTION !

In addition to the positioner materials, we also offer vacuum formed single arch laminates.

Mouthguards are available in a variety of colors in the vacuum laminates.

Mouthguards are trimmed according to the particular sport in which the patient is involved  with sample guidelines illustrated on this page (variations available on request).

Air holes or slots for breathing can be placed depending on the characteristics of the individual patient or athlete.
